Moving into fall colors and tones for decorating is one of my favorite seasonal changes. Halloween is a nice focal point at the end of that timeframe as well. But, I have always, even as a little girl, been frightened by Halloween "spookiness". This year I have been on the hunt for items that could be used in Fall and Halloween decorating that are fun, light hearted and definitely unique. I have quite the collection brought together. Each item will be posted separately, accompanied by a few photos of vignettes with other items to spark your creativity.

What a treasure! This is a lovely quadruple floral etched silver-plated cup produced by Pairpoint Mfg. Co (see bottom) which operated in New Bedford, Mass. from 1880-1900. This piece shows it's age, but that adds to the Halloween glamour! The rim is quite dented and is no longer round. The handle is secure but there is a break in the metal on the top brace. I have not polished the cup as some like with the patina, other like it shiny. The inside has discoloration (looks like green, so there must have been some copper in the piece? The mark on the base is quite easy to read. The flower etching and braided trim is really, really lovely!
