I just thought this was cute! A small profile oil painting on a stretched canvas that depicts a nighttime landscape. The subject is a single tree on a purple hill under a big full moon. Some of the lavender leaves of the tree are blowing away in the wind. It could serve well as part of a Halloween theme vignette with the full moon, blowing leaves and moody colors.

The piece is unsigned and undated. It’s painted on stretched canvas, and I’m not sure whether it’s oil or acrylic. . The artist, whoever he/she may be, has a great color sense and got a lot of moody variations into this simple little painting. It feels very Halloween-y to me—a windy night in the fall with the leaves blowing. As I recall, the perfect weather for trick-or-treating!

It would also work year round with the full moon coming around every month!
