Moving into fall colors and tones for decorating is one of my favorite seasonal changes. Halloween is a nice focal point at the end of that timeframe as well. But, I have always, even as a little girl, been frightened by Halloween "spookiness". This year I have been on the hunt for items that could be used in Fall and Halloween decorating that are fun, light hearted and definitely unique. I have quite the collection brought together. Each item will be posted separately.

What a cutie! The hand painted orange petal flowers, two on one side, a single on the other, make this the perfect accent piece for an autumnal display. It has the shape that is indicative of the 1940s with its squat body and curved handle. There is a faint marking on the bottom that may indicate McMaster Made in Canada (but I could be way off!) I was not able to find another with the same pattern but I really feel like it was part of a dish ware set from the 1940s.

The piece is really nice. There is considerable crazing of the entire surface but that is not atypical of pieces from this time frame and delicate ceramics. The painted flowers are in really nice condition. Inside has a bit of darkening. Not certain if this is yet food safe, but I know it is display worthy!
