Vintage Maple Wooden Rolling Pin with Stainless Steel Handles, 1950s
Vintage Maple Wooden Rolling Pin with Stainless Steel Handles, 1950s
$36.00
These are hard to come by. This is a large profile hand lathed hard rock maple rolling pin with stainless steel handles. This is a substantial piece and likely would be considered commercial grade.
I remember having a very similar piece in our kitchen, growing up. I also remember the pies that it help make!
The rolling pin is in very nice condition. There are some scuffs in the finish on the furthest ends of both sides. It could also use a cleaning on the edge between the handle and the roller. You can see the marks on one end where the wood was held into the lathe for hand turning and finishing. No manufacturer markings. Very likely 1950s based on design and construction.
This is a more rare rolling pin design and would be a wonderful addition to our collection - or, perfect to put to use in your kitchen today.
Dimensions:
18" long, handle to handle
2" wide at the barrel
Handles are 3 1/2" long
Weighs 2 pounds
