Vintage Hangable Metal Slotted Spoon with Green Wood Handle and Hand Painted Design
Vintage Hangable Metal Slotted Spoon with Green Wood Handle and Hand Painted Design

I just thought this was cute and might be the perfect little finishing touch for a farmhouse kitchen display. It started as a 1950s metal slotted kitchen spoon with a wood handle and hanging hook. Quite substantial and one of those workhouse kitchen tools that make for perfect cooking tools. But, to add to the charm, the metal parts have been painted goldish beige and embellished with flowers. The wood handle has had a fresh coat of dark green paint added as well.
The condition of the paint is really pretty nice. There are some small scuffs in the paint on the edges of the handle and the shaft of the spoon. There is some green paint from the handle that got over sprayed on to the shaft of the spoon as well. It displays really well. I found it hanging in a kitchen at an Estate sale. I do not know the original manufacturer of the spoon as it has been painted over, but the design looks like A & J.
This would look really cool in a display in a farmhouse kitchen, or tucked into your kitchen utensil jar as a spot of color and fun!
Dimensions:
12 1/2" long
2 1/2" wide across bowl of spoon\
8 3/4" long shaft
