This is a very rustic oil painting of a pond in summer that has the feeling of folk art. The artist (it is not signed) added some techniques that show they were working on this as a project. A photograph of the painted scene is taped to the back of the finished canvas and it's quite impressive how well they captured the mood of the photo!

The piece is not currently framed and would serve as an enchanting backdrop for your summer mantel or shelf decoration. This piece would fit so many decorating styles with the simple rustic presentation.

The piece is in good vintage condition with clean corners. It is painted on a quality 12 x 16 Canvas Foundation Board that is still quite sturdy and not bowed at all. The back of the board is really clean and the photo is there for fun!
