This piece has been a mystery. When I spied it at an Estate sale, it was part of a three piece set. This was the most striking of the three and I am happy to bring it to Warmth & Cheer. It was identified at the sales as completed by the artist Una Davidson and is signed in the bottom left hand corner UNA. I have not been able to find any other pieces from this artist, or any time of background on her. I am really surprised as it is a lovely composition and was part of a set. I even checked with my appraiser and we are stumped.

Our current thinking is that this is an original piece by an artist that was sold at an Craft market locally and thus why no other information is available. The piece has a textured finish, which adds visual interest and dimension. It is likely a print that was enhanced by using a technique of layering oil paint and paper to bring this effect to the surface and create the original nature of the piece.

The piece has been professionally framed (the sticker for the local frame shop is on the back) in a very nice white washed wooden frame that compliments the piece well and adds a sense of artistry to the finish piece. It has brown paper covering on the back with two hanging claws and a wire hanger.

The painting and frame are in excellent condition. It is ready to be hung in your home!
