This unique towel commemorates American Independence July 4 1776 and has four symbols of that period in American history. There is a Scroll with quill pen, George Washington portrait, Liberty Bell and Lantern with Candle. There are yellow and red stars and ribbons finishing the design. I believe the towel is natural linen and made by KayDee, although there is no label.

One of the nicest features of the towel is the screen printed design is placed on the towel such that it would display from both sides. Most have images that are upside down on one side.

The condition of the towel is excellent vintage. The linen is a fairly large open weave. It has some creases from being folded for a significant period of time. There are no dirty smudges along the creases. It has wonderful MCM red, green and yellow-gold colors and displays well.

A beautiful piece of Americana!
