Vintage Czechoslovakian ceramic vase with Poppies. This vase dates to the 1950s and pieces like this are highly collectible. It would make a great addition to the Fall themed mantel or Thanksgiving buffet due to the colors used.

The gold trim around the top and handles and the shape of the handles suggest this is from the art deco period of the 1920's but that is just my best guess. The colors of the background are very rich; the blue sky to the green valleys to the soft brown base. In the center of the front is a man on a white horse in full hunt regalia and the three hounds surrounding him are on the sent.

The bottom is marked with a circular design indicating Made in Czechoslovakia.

The vase is made of porcelain with a matte glaze finish. The brown Ombre coloring on the top and handles is worn off in many places, there are a few small blemishes in the surface of the paint but nothing very defacing, especially for the age of the piece.

I go to a lot of Estate sales and this piece jumped right out at me as uniquely different; the rich colors, handle shape and lack of any chips or cracks were the best selling features.
