This sled was found in a Northern Michigan barn. I believe it to be a primitive child's sled with tons of charm and patina. This would be a perfect piece to add to your rustic Christmas decorations! The cozy, worn wood and beautifully weathered cast iron give a nostalgic nod to Christmas past, whether you nestle it near the Christmas tree in the living room, or style it outside with your front porch décor. The top of the sled is constructed of one solid wood piece that has been sanded and stained on the top and has the original rough wood grain on the bottom.

The wood on this sled is absolutely beautiful and in antique, rustic condition, which is the best in my opinion. The sled frame and runners are made of cast iron and in really good condition except for the front decorative curled piece is broken off on one side. There are smaller decorative curled pieces on the backs of the runners and both are still in place. The bolts holding the runners and base in place are oxidized and rusty and a few of them may have been replaced from the original.

Really unique and charming piece!
