What a fun find! Especially for the creative minded, as these paper Father Christmas gift bags are just calling out to be repurposed in your holiday décor. Maybe he gets cut out and placed on a cardboard stand to create a throw-back Santa display. Maybe he gets hung in your daylight window at the front door to greet your visitors with a vintage touch. Maybe they get used as gift bags!

These are two authentic 1950s paper gift bags with To ____ from father christmas lithographed on the front in shades of red and blue with black accents. The tops are open and the bottoms have red binding tape sewn on to create a finished bottom, similar to flour or sugar bags of that timeframe.

The designs on the paper is in really nice shape, as is the bottom seam and the background paper on the front. Each of the backs have one section that has age darkening and they both have creased marks from being folded and stored for many, many year. There were names original on the To line that was written in pencil and have since been erased.
