I have been collecting Tagus copper chafing set pieces from various sales and now have quite a nice collection to offer as a set. There is a complete chafing dish set up, with pot, lid, bottom tray, stand and burner unit and an extra pot and bottom tray. I thought it would be really handy to have an extra pot for buffet serving! The bottom of both pots are marked TAGUS Made in Portugal. All the pieces have light wear and significant tarnish as they have not been polished in a long time. Some prefer the unpolished look so I have left as found. I did polish the bottom of one of the pots so you can see how nicely it does clean up if that is your preference. Really nice looking and such a practical size!
There are 7 pieces:
1. Three legged stand, copper with brass legs - it holds the warmer on the bottom and the copper cooking pot on the top. It is 4 1/4" tall and the copper holder part is 4 1/4" in diameter.
2. The little copper pot with it's own lid that sits in the top ring of the stand and holds the flame. It is intended to have the lighter fluid poured into the mesh unit. It is 1 3/4" tall and 2 3/4" diameter at the top and 5" long with handle.
3. The nicest copper cooking pot (copper outside and food grade metal inside) with wood handle and brass attachment plate. It is 4 1/4" in diameter at the top and 4 1/4" tall and 10 1/2" wide with handle.
4. Copper lid with top wood handle that fits on the copper cooking pot. It is 4 3/8" diameter at the top and 1 1/4" tall to top of handle.
5. Copper base plate that holds the stand with beveled edge. It is 8 1/4" diameter at the top and 6 1/2" diameter at the bottom.
6. A bit rougher copper cooking pot (copper outside and food grade metal inside) with wood handle and brass attachment plate. The brass plate is quite darkened with age. No lid. It is 4 1/4" in diameter at the top and 4 1/4" tall and 10 1/2" wide with handle.
7. A second copper base plate that holds the stand with beveled edge. It is 8 1/4" diameter at the top and 6 1/2" diameter at the bottom.
