For all you Mid-Century Modern fans, this is a must have. So unique. The outside of this Scheurich German vase is a texturized moss green and white color with five decorative blue, yellow and black accents that look a bit tribal in their design. The inside of the vase is glazed black. The Scheurich label is missing but the model number of 523-18 is marked on the bottom, along with FOREIGN. identifying it as Scheurich from Germany. The style looks similar to vases from the 1950s to 1960s designed by Heinz Siery for Scheurich.

It has a wonderful hourglass shape that would serve as the base for a flower bouquet beautifully. The shape would also lend itself to be using as the container for something that would need to be poured, with it's long neck and wide top.

The piece is in very nice vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Substantial feel to the pottery. There are a few random scuff marks, or usage marks on the outside surface that I do not believe were part of the design.
