This is such a simple, yet eye-catching Rosenthal Germany decorative bud vase that is creamy white porcelain with thick gold gilded top and bottom rim. Made in Germany. When I saw it, I envisioned it's use to be on a really design forward work from home office desk or shelf, or as an element on a vintage bar cart. Of course, it could also be used on the dressing table or bathroom counter for lipsticks or a favorite makeup brush.

This is really beautiful and in wonderful condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing on the piece anywhere. No loss of the gold paint that I could identify either. The finish is glossy and has a wonderful hand feel. I really want to keep this!

It is marked on the bottom Rosenthal Germany in green script with the crossed sword and crown logo. 3-30 is written in pencil along the bottom rim as well. I believe this mark and the design and materials places this in the Art Deco period of the late 1930s or early 1940s.
