Vintage NSP Royal Embassy Japan Ceramic Cream and Sugar Set
Vintage NSP Royal Embassy Japan Ceramic Cream and Sugar Set
$18.00
What a cute little set! This vintage N S P Royal Embassy Japan Ceramic Cream and Sugar Set would a fun addition to a rustic table setting.
Might be much as a full set, but as a companion to neutral ceramic plates, or even china, it would be really fun. The set features a Fruit, Leaf, and Vine design in a glossy, cocoa brown color. They would also be an excellent set to grace the harvest table.
The pieces are in really nice shape with no chips, cracks, or stains other than the tiniest little chip on the foot of the creamer below the spout. There are a few spots where the finish is a bit rough, but I am pretty sure that is from the manufacturing process, not a recent addition. The sugar bowl has a lid and two side handles. The creamer a perky little spout.
The gold foil sticker on the bottom of the sugar bowl indicates NSP Royal Embassy Japan. The sticker is missing on the creamer (there is some sticky residue). I was not able to find any history of this manufacturer, other than the fact that they were producing in the Occupied Japan years and into the 1970s. I am placing this piece in the 70s due to the style and coloring.
Dimensions:
Creamer - 3 1/2" tall, 4 1/2" wide (handle to spout)
Sugar Bowl - 5 1/2" tall to top of lid and is 5 1/4" wide (handle to handle)
Sold as a Set of Two
