Amazing!
Back in the early 1950s, the Tip-Top Bread Company had a give-away program to encourage repeat business with homemakers. They distributed really run puzzles with different themes. These are the puzzles from 1952 and they depict Tip-Top Town, USA. The interlocking cardboard pieces of the puzzle complete an image of two families in a neighborhood with cute little promotional bubbles, all referencing Tip-Top.
"Here come the Bread Winner- TIP-Top that is!"
"Look what Daddy bought for me - Enriched Tip-Top"
"Since I bought Tip-Top Cakes, I hardly ever bake anymore."
"My family is a Tip-top Family too!"
"Boy! This Tip-Top Bread and Jelly is better than Candy 'n Ice Cream"
"Tip-Top for Dinner again- maybe, If I drop in, they'll invite me to stay."
The puzzles and their vellum storage sleeves are in excellent vintage condition. There are no creases, rips or edge damage for either puzzle and the graphics and colors are still very vibrant.
