I think my favorite thing about these pieces is the shiny finish for the wooden pieces, and the green striped box, and the Woodpecker Woodware stickers on the bottom, and the screw-on tops for the salt and pepper shakers. Okay, I like a lot of things about this cute set!

This is a really nice set of teak wood, salt and pepper shakers from Woodpecker Woodware. The set is complete with the original box, all parts to the shakers and the original stickers on the base of both.

These are in pretty nice vintage condition - the shiny lacquer finish on the salt and pepper shakers is really nice. There are some scratches on the front of the pepper shaker, none note on the salt. The lids screw off for refilling. There is a small metal band that sits on the top of the base to add a bit of flair. That band has rusted on the inside and there is rust stain on the wood neck. I suspect this would clean up fairly well and it doesn't really show unless you have them apart. The box is really nice, for it's age. There is a scuff on the top and some tape repairs on the inside. One of the side pieces needs to be re-taped to hold in place. reflect the most wear.

On the bottom of both the shakers is the original gold foil sticker that has the Woodpecker logo and Copyright 1959 Woodpecker Woodware Hand Decorated Japan. The front of the box is labeled Woodpecker Woodware The Tower with the Woodpecker logo. The side of the box has Trade Mark Reg US Pat Off Reg Japan 431873 The bottom of the box has 103 The Tower and the original price sticker from J.L. Hudson Co. $1.00

This would be a really cute set to add to your cook out picnic pieces. Just sweet nostalgia from the mid-century.
