My parents owned a Collectibles and Toy store back in the 1990s. They had a wonderful assortment of collectible stuffed animals and other décor items, but too many to keep now that they have retired. I will be listing quite a few items from their collection over the next few weeks so stay tuned if you are a collector of cute things!

This is a set of 3 hand painted paper covered cardboard oval boxes with nicely fitting lids. Each of the three stores within the next larger box. Each of the boxes is painted with a colonial red background and gold antiquing along the sides of the lid rims. Stenciled on the sides are alternating white boxes and gold hearts. The tops of each has a variation on the theme of potted white flowers with white hears along the edge. These would be wonderful pantry or craft storage boxes as they are very sturdy and have easy access with their lift off lids. They could also be stacked for display as well and there is a green cord that is included for that purpose. I would say they have a country or primitive vibe.

The set of three boxes is in good shape. They do have some surface scuffing in spots (more on the larger box due to the nesting nature of the other two) but no rips, tears or compromise of the flower designs. The top of the largest box has a crease in the paper that appears to be there from manufacture.
