What a fun find! This is a really pretty folk art style painted decorative plate from Stanwood Trays of Dundee Illinois. It has a folk art feel with a kitschy saying - period costume man and woman with Burnt food and love do not say together. (What a hoot!)

It has a raised outer rim and a double groove line around the center design.

This plate is in vintage condition with no paint loss but areas where the finish coat is a bit scuffed, especially on the back of the plate. The paint has a raised texture and a glossy finish. The wood is soft and blonde in color and of medium weight making it perfect for display. On the back is a small brass hanger and the company name. I do not think this is food safe.

Just really retro fun!
