Vintage Dusty Blue Small Enamelware Colander
Vintage Dusty Blue Small Enamelware Colander
Blue gray "striped" or "speckled" enamelware catches my eye immediately - be it a pan, a kitchen utensil, a plate, or a mug, I just can't resist. This colander is no exception. It would make the perfect addition to your farmhouse enamelware collection. It would display well on an open kitchen shelf, or as a spot to store small items in the pantry, or even as storage in the craft room, or on the front porch with a succulent garden or as an organization bin for your remotes in the family room. The possibilities are endless and the color will enhance any place you use it! One of the pictures shows how well it worked to be used for a "gift basket" this past holiday season. It is so versatile!
This colander is in decent vintage condition as the color variation of the surface is still visible and the base is in good condition. There are three feet on the bottom of the bowl and they show the most rusting, but are still sturdy and it sits very level. There are also quite a few rust spots along the bottom inside edge but the sides and top rim are very clean Nothing has corroded through the entire piece. There is one spot of light color on the bottom that I can not tell for certain what it is. Maybe paint or glue? Not sure if it would come off.
