Found these books during my "pickin" adventures and thought they would be such a treat for a little one in your life that liked animal stories. I know this would have made my heart sing when I was a little girl. There are two titles in this listing.

1. "Little Animal Sketches" An Activity Book with Gummed Sheets , No. 4446 Samuel Lowe Company Publishers, 1950s. The book originally came with a few pages of gummed stickers that were to be inserted into the story. They have been put into the book, very nicely. The book contains three stories; The Stubborn Little Donkey, The Little Duck Who Wanted to Travel and The Lazy Little Beaver. Really cute stories with bright colored illustrations. Inside pages are in really nice vintage condition. Plaid tape on the binding is in really nice shape, as well as the cardboard front and back. Slight corner rubbing and edge wear with some surface staining in the bottom right hand corner. 1957 and Kathryn written in pencil on back of cover. Stickers have slight bubbling. Dimensions: 6 1/4" x 8"

2. "Who Ever Saw" An Bonnie Bead Puzzle Book, No. 4131, Rhymes by Sally Simpson and Illustrations by Marion Emmons, Samuel Lowe Company Publishers, 1953. These books came with a small bead activity puzzle imbedded in the front cover (there were 3 in the series). The book contains eleven Who Ever Saw poems about a variety of animals with a full color page accompaniment. Really cute poems with bright colored illustrations. Inside pages are in really nice vintage condition. Plaid tape on the binding is in really nice shape, as well as the cardboard front and back. Slight corner rubbing and edge wear with some surface staining in the bottom edge. Kathryn Ballard written in pencil on top of first page. Little bit of ink scribbles on the front cover in the o of Who. Puzzle has the beads still inside. The plastic cover has yellowed with age and has surface scuffs. Dimensions: 6 1/4" x 8"

This is just a really fun set of books with a vintage vibe - child, or not!
