Have you ever wondered how the yarn in your sweater stays together? In this book you will learn the secrets of knitting, and at the same time you'll be making useful things. This brimful book of ideas will make you love doing nice things around the house. You'll find out how to start a lemon tree with just one seed. You'll see what you can do with bright scraps of paper besides throw them away.

Note: the author, illustrator and publishing information is not on this copy of the book. I found exact copies in my research and that is where the information is from. (Have no idea why this one is missing that information.)

Really approachable all color illustrations in a block print style. 67 Pages. Heavy paper stock paper for the pages. Hardcover.

The book is in really nice condition. Only the very slightest of edge, corner and surface wear to the cover. No other noted soiling to covers or pages inside cover. Binding is tight but beginning to loosen on the first few pages. Cover has Shirley Whipple in ink. Pages show no other writing or marking and colors are still very bright. Japan printed on last image.

A real treasure!

I found a wonderful collection of vintage children's books at a sale this past month and am working to get them posted. There is a little video showing the first six titles attached. Come back for more!
