This vintage Takahashi cheese board with plastic dome lid is just so cute - and 1970s retro, it will be the talk of your next cocktail party. It has a black plastic base that has been painted red around the outside edge. Inside this base is a white tile trivet with the most adorable little mouse silhouette with reddish ears. On top is a plastic dome lid with black plastic button handle. The piece is in nice shape. There are some nicks in the red paint along the bottom edge and the dome is a little cloudy. There is also one spot on the dome that appears to be a scuff in the plastic. It could possibly be removed with some scrubbing.
The base of the piece has a gold foil sticker with made in Japan Takahasi San Francisco 94103. My search indicates this was a popular piece from the early 1960s.
