A fun piece of Americana from the Hershey Molds Co. 1981. Hershey Molds pieces were sold as well designed unpainted ceramic pieces for artisans to paint. This was the trinket/dresser box from their collection It featured an oval shape with ridged edges on both the base and lid. The special feature was the embossed pioneer scene on the lid. In a stand of trees there is a log cabin and a settler and child hard at work preparing more logs for further construction.

The piece was finished entirely in forest green paint with a white-wash effect on the embossed elements on the lid. Both the back of the lid and the bottom of base are marked Hershey Mold Co. 1981. The bottom of the base also indicates To Clark from Flipper!

The large oval shape of the box is perfect for storing small items. The piece is in excellent, vintage condition with no chips or cracks in the ceramic. The inside, and back of lid, are glossy off-white which is also in very nice condition.
