Vintage Acrylic Mountain Field Studies
Vintage Acrylic Mountain Field Studies
$15.00
This series of acrylic field studies was found at an Estate sale of an art collector. I do not know any of the back story of the pieces but they are charming none the less and an affordable way to step into owning original art for your home or office. I would say that the colors and images represented in these pieces certainly are evocative of the rural area's around the mountainous and rural Americana settings.
There are three available. I believe they are from the same painter (at least the three mountain scenes) as they are variations on a mountain landscape theme. The fourth is a bit different being a covered bridge, but the water presentation is very similar.
1 - I call this piece "Old Covered Bridge" with the rustic bridge spanning the stream running with winter run off. Lots of detail in the natural elements and a more ghostly appearance to the bridge itself. This piece is simply presented on thicker canvas paper with no backing. There are smudges of acrylic paint in the borders around the painted surface. No signature or dating. Ready to be framed and hung in your gallery wall! Dimensions: 11 7/8" x 9"
2 - I call this piece "Early, Early Spring" as this is one of the scenes with the mountains in the background and wonderful clouds overhead but your eye is drawn to the bright blue of the water and the way the sun has begun to uncover the snow capped mountains. Wonderful pine trees and early spring flowers complete the piece. Love the imagery and rustic acrylic presentation with the pops of yellow and wonderful texturing in the leaves and grasses. This piece is simply presented on canvas paper with no backing. There are smudges of acrylic paint in the borders around the painted surface. No signature or dating. Ready to be framed and hung in your gallery wall! Dimensions: 11 7/8" x 9"
3 - I call this piece "Winter Mountains" as this is one of the scenes with the mountains in the background and wonderful clouds overhead but your eye is drawn to the stark whiteness of the snow bordering the stream and on the windswept mountain top. bright blue of the water and the way the sun has begun to uncover the snow capped mountains. Wonderful pine trees and dried grasses complete the piece. Love the imagery and rustic acrylic presentation with the pops of green and wonderful texturing in the leaves and grasses. This piece is simply presented on canvas paper with no backing. There are smudges of acrylic paint in the borders around the painted surface. No signature or dating. Ready to be framed and hung in your gallery wall! Dimensions: 11 7/8" x 9"
Each piece sold individually.
