Milk Glass Homestead Plate by Imperial Glass. What a treasure! This beautiful, dimensional scene on this Imperial Milk Glass Plate depicts a home with a picket fence, trees, ducks, a women at a well and a bridge over creek with a road that leads to a home. It also has scalloped edges with a Greek Key trim around the inner border. My research indicates that this pattern is sometimes referred to as "Down on the Farm" as well as the "Homestead Plate." I also note that some are identifying this as Doeskin finish to the glass. This design was also produced in clear glass and carnival glass and included quite a few sizes of plates.

The plate is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or stains. The definition of the scene is more pronounced when you turn the plate in certain directions. The glass is quite substantial. There is a small foot on the base. The IG logo is in the center on the back as well.
