I love the beautiful Art Deco design and pleasing pinks and purples of this chintz pattern plate. It is from Leighton Potteries in England and is labeled the Chinese Rose Pattern.

Marked on the back, Made in England Chinese Rose Leighton Pottery B & L (Bourne & Lee) B

B stands for Burslem - the town where the works were situated, mark used in the 1930+.

This plate/shallow bowl is in very nice condition as there are no edge chips or cracks on the top or back. There is no signs of crazing and/or darkening of the porcelain, which is very common considering it's age. There are a few surface, usage scratches in the glossy finish on the top of the plate.
