Antique "Where the Sea Flag Floats" by Elsie Robertson
Antique "Where the Sea Flag Floats" by Elsie Robertson
$12.00
What a fun treasure - the fictional account of the seal-fur industry from 1912 that includes actual historical facts as well. The book is entitled, "WHERE THE SEA FLAG FLOATS", A Story Of The Seal Fisheries by Elsie Robertson.
The book is handsomely bound in soft blue color cloth and has a partial image of a small boat coming into the dock. The front cover also includes stylized Where The Sea Flag Floats and art deco designs in brown for the title.
I love old books for the peak into culture and language of our grandparent's (or even great-grandparents for this one) day.

The binding is very loose and has pulled apart from the staples in the back but the book is still holding together and no pages are entirely loose.
