Antique Stewart Bottom Plate Tin with 2 Blades Included, 1920s Advertising

$15.00
This Stewart Bottom Plate Tin is from the 1920s. It has wonderful vintage colors, graphics and advertising copy. The background is mustard yellow and the contrast color is forest green. The top of the tin has images of the blade and a horse being groomed by two gentlemen with a Stewart Cutting Head. The copy reads:

The back of the tin reads:
Notice
This plate is tempered very hard so it will retain a sharp cutting edge. Therefore must be handled carefully. We can recognize no claims for broken plates when once used.

Around the outside of the tin is a really cool green diamond pattern.

Inside is the original bottom plate and a smaller blade from the C.F.S. Manufacturing company. The blades are quite oxidized and have surface rust. I do not know it they are still sharp. The inside of the tin is oxidized, with surface rust.

The outside of the tin is in very good condition: minimal soil and scratches. The most obvious paint loss is on the front corners.

This would be a great collector's piece for a vintage tin collector, horse enthusiast or barn display. The colors are wonderful!
