Vintage St. Patrick's Day Décor
Vintage St. Patrick's Day Décor
from $20.00
It is hard to find items to celebrate St. Patrick's Day that don't have a drinking theme, or make the Irish look just a bit boorish. These little pieces buck that trend. There are three separate listings that would be such a nice addition to a St. Patrick's Day or Spring mantel.
1 - A vintage (likely 1920s) postcard of a demure Irish lass holding the Irish flag with predominantly green with gold accents. The message is Dear Irish Memories on the shamrock leaves and As our flag floats on the breeze Memories fly back to me keen For again I am a lass gathering shamrocks in a frock made of green. The card has been artfully juxta positioned over a page from the dictionary highlighting Irish words. The piece is framed in an inexpensive plastic wood grain frame with a gold accent. It is behind glass and appears that the pieces are glued in place. The paper is in wonderful, vintage condition. The frame has a small black mark on one side. There is cardboard backing that has a hanging cut out piece, or it props well. Dimensions: 7 1/8" x 5 1/8"
2 - A vintage (likely 1960s) cut out of a Irish dancers costume with shamrock accents in shades of green. The piece has been artfully juxta positioned over a page from the dictionary highlighting Irish words. The piece is framed in a decorative wood frame that has been painted silver. It is behind glass and appears that the pieces are glued in place. The paper is in wonderful, vintage condition. The frame has rough spots in the paint, but is still sturdy and square. There is cardboard backing, with no hanging piece but it props well. Dimensions: 8 7/8" x 6 3/4"
3 - I know this is a Pixie or Elf, not a leprechaun, but I think it works for the St. Pat's holiday! This little ceramic guy is in a resting pose with a full green suit, including a hat and a sweet, impish little face. Marked Japan on the bottom. Likely late 1940s, early 50s. Some paint loss, but not bad. Could use a good cleaning! Dimensions: 3 1/4" long, 1 1/2" wide, 1 3/4" high.
Sold Separately. If you purchase all three, I will ship for free. Just send me a note!
