Vintage "Snowflake" Hard Cover Book by Paul Gallico
$28.00
This is a completely nostalgic book for me. I was so happy when I found this at an Estate sale. I had this exact book when I was a little girl and I remember being enamored with the tiny little drawings and sweet inspirational story. I am excited to offer it for some other child to be equally enthralled!

The synopsis of the book from the book cover:

"This is the delightful story of the life of Snowflake, who was 'all stars and arrows, squares and triangles of ice and light.' Through Snowflake's special role in the pattern of creation and life, Paul Gallico has given us a simple allegory on the meaning of life, its oneness and ultimate safety."
Summary of the Author Bio from the book cover:
Paul Gallico (1897 - 1976) was a sports writer and editor for the New York Daily News, where he became known for his innovative creation of the Golden Gloves amateur boxing competition. Transitioning from journalism to fiction, Gallico found success with novels such as The Snow Goose, The Poseidon Adventure, and the Mrs. Harris series.
This collectible book is in nice shape. The complete original book cover is included. That cover has some slight staining, edge wear and a few small tears. The original price sticker of $3.50 is on the front flap. The hardcover book under the cover has the same image and is in really nice condition with just one slight stain in the top right hand corner and slight corner and edge wear. The binding is tight. There are dark fade blocks on the front and back page from storage. There is a faint stamp of numbers on the front page as well. No writing in the book and pages are in very nice condition. The little blue illustrations are really charming.
A charming story to read and an adorable cover illustration that would display well for winter décor.
Dimensions:
5" x 7 1/2" x 1/2"
