Vintage Reproduction Painted Folk Art Colonial Winter Scene on Plywood Board

There are quite a few similar pieces to this painting that I found in my research that are attributed to being late 20th century art works. There are too many for them all to be that old and my suspicion is that they are reproductions from the 1980s or 90s. I love the presentation anyway! The others I found had a similar scene of a Christmas time landscape. This one is on a more Colonial theme and appears to be more unique.

The piece is painted in a primitive American folk art style. It presents a variety of winter activities being enjoyed by the people and families in the piece. There is a cozy yellow house up on a hill, a red covered bridge and people enjoying the frozen river for ice skating, sleigh riding. In the foreground is a small vignette of a family starting a bon fire. Charming folk art style and color palette with mid-range blue, green, red and yellow complimenting the brown elements.

This is painted on a plywood panel with a medium brown stain and natural grain and marks in the wood. The plywood and stain are chipped in the lower left hand corner, which could easily be remedied with a little stain touch up.

Really unique, folk art style piece to add to your vintage Christmas or winter décor. It could be framed or left as is. There is currently no hanging hardware on the back of the piece.
