Moving into fall colors and tones for decorating is one of my favorite seasonal changes. Halloween is a nice focal point at the end of that timeframe as well. But, I have always, even as a little girl, been frightened by Halloween "spookiness". This year I have been on the hunt for items that could be used in Fall and Halloween decorating that are fun, light hearted and definitely unique. I have quite the collection brought together. Each item will be posted separately.

This is a bit of a mystery - but perfect for Halloween décor with it's glossy back background. It is a small, single handle urn/pitcher with wonderful white accents. The mystery is the branding on the bottom. It indicates G.I.C. Hand Etched Italy. I can not find any other piece with the same brand mark, and I am not sure how this is considered etched. I suspect it is the process used to "remove" the black glaze to complete the white accents. Anyway, it is a really nice piece and displays well!

The background is glossy black. The slim foot has white lines, both sides have white flower designs and the handle is white with black hatching. The inside of the lip is white. Everything is in wonderful, vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There are usage marks on the bottom and the brand name is blurry (maybe that is why I can not identify anything else with this name!)
