This plate is part of a series made by Adams China Co. of England that was produced between 1917 thru 1940. The series included a multitude of different American Seasonal scenes - based on 19th century lithographs done by Nathanial Currier. The transfer printed designs were done in gray on the white ironstone and then hand colored. The border is pink and yellow roses.

This plate has a beautiful outside rim that is multi-colored and includes green leaves, pink and yellow tinted roses/primroses all on a gray and white flowered background. The center is the depiction of the N. Currier lithograph The Road - Winter. It also has the gray and white background with hints of pinks, yellow and green in the elegant horse drawn sleigh with just the rooftop of a homestead in the background. It is quite beautiful.

This plate is in mint condition and ready to be used, or put on display for the upcoming holiday season.
