I loved finding this set of retro advertisements/giveaways for Wrigley's Spearmint Chewing Gum from the 1960s, buried under a pile of old magazines. It is actually amazing to see what people save from their childhood! They are Wrigley Zoo Pop Up Brochures with vibrant multi-color illustrations, that detail interesting facts about animals in a 3-D pop up format, thus why they are called the Wrigley Zoo!

There are six in the set. They originally had tear off tabs along the left side of the piece that is no longer included on any of them. The back of each has a poem connecting the animal in the piece with Wrigley's Spearmint Gun with classic advertising copy. The set includes:

1 - Giraffe. 3D pop up in working condition, no rips or tears. Folded corners. Some darkening of the paper cover.
2 - Hippopotamus. 3D pop up in working condition, no rips or tears. Tattered along the left edge. Some wrinkling of the paper cover.
3 - Red Fox. 3D pop up in working condition, no rips or tears. Slight wrinkling and some smudges of the paper cover.
4 - Asiatic Elephants. 3D pop up in working condition, no rips or tears. Slight wrinkling and some smudges of the paper cover. Scribbles in pencil on back page, a bit dirtier than others.
5 - Black Bears. 3D pop up in working condition in the front piece. Back piece has a ripped tab and needs a bit of repair work to complete the scene. Much darker paper cover with wrinkles and corner folds.
6 - Sloth. 3D pop up has issues in both front and back piece and needs a bit of repair work to complete the scene. Glossier paper compared to the others. Some wrinkles and corner folds.

These would be fun to share with a youngster in your life or would make wonderful pieces for scrapbooking, crafting or journal making. It's rather fascinating to see the evolution of the Wrigley's Gum character on the front cover. There are 4 versions, 3 of which he is facing right and one he is facing left.
