Mid-Century Ransburg Light Blue Tissue Box with Cupid
Mid-Century Ransburg Light Blue Tissue Box with Cupid
$22.50
Oh my goodness - this mid-century Ransburg metal tissue box is as sweet as can be! I know that my Grandmother had something similar in her pastel tiled bathroom, when I was a little girl. Now it belongs along side your other mid-century bathroom, or nursery décor items!
The box is painted a very soft blue and has the cutest little angel/cupid in the upper left hand corner with banners and flowers across the top and the front side. The design elements are in soft green and white. The inside, bottom and other three sides are the solid soft blue color. The piece has four small wooden balls as feet, they are painted gold.
This piece is completely original, I can see no evidence of any touch up on the paint. The piece definitely has some missing paint on the left side corners, and spots of rust are strewn across the top and along the top and bottom edges. The largest spot of paint loss is on the left hand corner of the top. It shows more from the side than it does from the top. The paint on the inside and bottom is remarkably defect free. The box sits on four painted wooden feet that are firmly attached. These feet have some scuffs along the bottom as well. The inside is clear of rust and there are no dents on the box anywhere. The lid fits securely on the base and the box is level.
The embossed mark for Ransburg the finest in the field on a paint palette shaped logo is clearly marked on the bottom of the box. So excited when I found this for my customers; it shows its age and usage, but so unique!
Dimensions:
