Oh, this is so charming! A rare vintage book entitled "Children at Play", no author attribution. Awesome vintage find for your children’s book collection or as a gift for a teacher! Quite rare - I could not find anything like it in my research.

The illustrations are detailed, brightly colored and would be wonderful o explore with young children. The captions are simple, allowing them to add to the story! All pages, including the front and back cover are heavy cardboard with brightly colored images of children in daily activities. Images are one, two or three children of various hair color, all Caucasian. It is a early edition of a “chunky” book with easy to turn pages for small hands. No dating on the book but likely late 1930s to 40s based on clothing styles and activities portrayed. Back is noted Sandle Brothers Ltd London Printed in the Netherlands No. 385A.

The covers show edge, corner wear and surface wear with light soiling to covers as well as slight tears in the binding edge. Binding is still in tact. Pages show no writing or marking within but a few age marks. Illustrations are clear, bright and compelling!
