This is such a charming vintage hand painted wicker basket that celebrates the summer berry season. I was initially drawn to the piece as it had such a charming hand painted scene on the front but than I noted the wonderfully woven top trim, sturdy wooden center handle and the ease in which it hangs that makes it more practical. I think it would also be exceptionally nice during the summer and fall berry season as part of a fall picnic spread or a wonderful base to create an arrangement for your front door to celebrate the season!

As would be expected with vintage baskets, there a few spots of light wear in the wicker, especially on the bottom. The painting on the front is in amazing condition and the basket itself is still quite sturdy. The curved center handle has one spot where the wood is slightly separating but it does not appear to be weakened. It is very strong and sturdy for it's age. No signature to be found.
