This is such a sweet watercolor painting of a farmstead in the full flowering bloom of spring. The artist (Chris is noted in the bottom left hand corner) layered the paint in the blossoms of the trees that show some texture and shadowing that add a nice contrast to the overall presentation. The pictures do not do this piece justice! It would be a wonderful addition to a spring themed mantel, shelf, gallery wall and would benefit tremendously from bring framed.

The piece currently has a rusty brown mat that is in very nice condition, just not the ideal color to bring the piece forward. The watercolor is affixed to the back of the mat and would be easy to remove and creatively frame in another manner. I thought about finding a vintage frame for the piece but thought the next owner would likely want to add their own touch. It does display well as is but would degrade over time without some protection. It was in a frame and behind glass when I found it but those did not make the cut! The painting itself is in very nice vintage condition. No chips or marks in the paint and no loss of color.

It is painted on a watercolor paper and the mat is from mat-mates, inc. out of NY.
