"Weary Travelers" by Anne Holloway, a Detroit area oil painter from the 1960s completed this piece and captured the feeling of the traveling water fowl - and the car resting next to the lone cabin. (Which were the weary travelers - the ducks or the people?) Anne's business card is on the back of the piece and her original signature is on the front.

Three ducks are in the foreground and other are following on the horizon. The bend in the curve on the river has an inner grassy island and early fall wildflowers on the bank. In the distance is the little red cabin with a 1960s model automobile parked alongside. The sky indicates rain is soon to follow. A perfect piece for the hunting cabin! The colors are as in nature and the piece is well executed. The piece is framed in a rustic oak frame with markings to give the appearance of barn wood. There is a small inner white edge. Everything is in really nice vintage condition with the only flaw noted to be dirtiness of the white frame pieces. The back is covered with brown backing paper that appears to be an old grocery bag and brown masking tape that is losing it's battle with age. The piece is heavy and has an excellent hanging wire.
