This is a sweet vintage framed art print from Reliance Industries out of Chicago Illinois. They specialized in helping homeowners "Be Their Own Interior Decorator" by offering inexpensive art prints in simple, decorative frames. This print is quite unique as it is a very detailed Early American family scene, with spring tulips and blossoming trees on the border of a lake. The unique characteristic is that is a print made to mimic a tapestry. You can see the how the image looks like embroidery stitching and a woven linen background. Really unique and a fun piece to use in a spring vignette. The color scheme is bright pinks, reds, greens with white and yellow accents.

The condition of this piece is quite good. The frame is still sturdy, although the bottom piece is a bit loose. It has a light oak color frame with a beveled inset that has a gold painted decorative border. There is one surface scratch on the top right hand edge and numerous other small nicks on the corners and edges.

The back has the traditional cardboard backing of Reliance Industries pieces with Style No. 922 Glass Size 9" x 12" Reliance Industries Chicago Illinois. There is a claw tooth hanger on the back.

I could not find any historical information on the Reliance Industries company, but I know they were a fixture in homeware goods in the 1940s - 1970s at least. I remember them well!
