These books were part of the Little Leather Library Corporation series and were published between 1913-1923. Each tiny volume measures approximately 4" x 3 1/4" and features green leather outer covers embossed with title and author. The back is embossed with the Little Leather Library logo.

These were originally sold through Woolworth's five-and-dime chain in a boxed set of 30 for $2.98 and millions of copies (101 different book titles) were sold before they ended production in 1923.

These books are in delicate condition. The leather covers are less supple than original and have a few chips, rubs, and small tears along the edges. The Land of Heart's Desire has a brighter green color than the other three. The paper inside is darkened with age on the first and last page from resting on the back side of the leather cover. The pages within, while likely darker than original, are in really nice condition. A few have some tears on the first page of two. Two have come loose from their binding (Lancelot & Elaine and Land of Heart's Desire). The other two are still attached to original binding.

These display very well and would be a wonderful addition to a classics library - or maybe you want to start a collection of the full set of 101!
