Antique Haviland France Ramekin Set with Gold Border and Pink and Green Garland Design
Antique Haviland France Ramekin Set with Gold Border and Pink and Green Garland Design
This is a set of 3 matching ramekin dishes from Haviland France. The have a wide brim and deeper bowl than typical ramekin with the prettiest painted design of a garland of pink and green handing from a gold banner. Their wonderful eye appeal and wide brim make them perfect for numerous uses on the buffet table; condiments, crudités, nuts, candies, or even individual servings of small desserts.
Or, on the non-food front, they would be the best little dishes on the vanity table, in the bathroom, on the desk or even to corral small items in that junk drawer! They would look so perky doing their job!
These pieces are in wonderful condition. No chips, cracks or crazing.
They are the same pattern but two are marked Haviland France, Decorated by Haviland Co. Limoges on the bottom and one has Haviland France Decorated by Haviland & Co. Limoges Made Expressly for Chas. Brown & Sons San Francisco Cal. This mark is the one most often found and dates to c.1894-1931. This was the period during which most Haviland china was sold. Again these marks are also found combined with store marks. (Thus the one with Brown & Sons)
I have not been able to locate the pattern name, sorry!
